About Me

Hi! My name is Kamisha Taylor and planning events has been a lifelong passion of mine. I made up my mind to do this back when I was a little girl. I used to watch the television show, “Hotel” with James Brolin and Connie Sellecca, years ago with my grandmother, and something about that show put the dream of planning events in my little head. The show was not about planning events, but in my mind I envisioned planning big fancy parties at big fancy hotels, and my dream was formed.

After graduating High School, I attended Robert Morris College in Chicago and enrolled in their Travel, Tourism & Hospitality program. The program included courses in events planning and there I learned the ins and outs of the events industry. Thus, my road to planning big fancy parties in big fancy hotels began. 

Well, it really did not go quite as I had planned! Life happened and I became a mommy, and I put my dream of owning my own events planning business on hold and focused on being a mommy, BUT, over the course of the years, while working a “regular” 9 to 5, I planned several parties and events for friends, co-workers, family, as well as, I became the go to person to plan events at the Federal Agency I worked for, from the annual Holiday Party to Retirement parties, co-worker's weddings, baby showers and everything in between. I loved every minute of doing it!

To further my education in the industry I anticipate completing a full training course with the Sheffield School in their Full Wedding & Events courses.

Planning an event from start to finish gives me such a giddy rush and I can’t see myself doing anything else, I’m not happy doing anything else. Planning events comes natural; I often say it’s in my blood. I eat, sleep and breathe this industry, even when I don’t have anything to plan. I am constantly on the search for that latest “thing” that will make an event “pop” or conjuring up events, color schemes and themes in my head. I am always being asked for advice and ideas from people in the industry, friends and family. In 2010, I became a full time stay at home mommy, and I decided to give the dream that formed in my head years ago a shot, and in 2012, Taylor Made Soirées, Weddings & Events and my fun party company, Na’Vella Party Boutique were born.

Taylor Made Soirées Weddings & Events is a full-service special event planning company, as well as a Month of Coordinator, serving the Philadelphia and surrounding areas. Our focus is solely on the client, we strive to make your special event, unique to you. Our mission is to be a wealth of resource for all of your planning needs, from start to finish. We will assist our clients in creating fabulously creative, undeniably unique and undoubtedly memorable events, no matter the budget, with flawless and professional execution.

Na'Vella Party Boutique by TMS is a party planning division under the Taylor Made Soirées brand that specializes in bringing unique specialty themed tables, bars, buffets & party favors to your event. Candy Tables, Dessert Tables & Favor Tables are one of the hottest event trends going, and a fabulous way to create that “WOW” factor that your guests will surely be talking about!
